Listening is not waiting for your turn, and most of us were never taught the difference.
Two printed pages for the conversations where you would normally interrupt: what to do with your face and your hands while your partner is still talking, and how to say the thing back to them so they can tell you got it. Put it somewhere you will see it, and use it the next time the temperature rises.
