The seven-day reset
Seven days, one small repair at a time — done inside an ordinary week, without a grand gesture.
Distance rarely arrives because someone stopped caring. It turns up quietly, in the room that has gone cold, the door that stopped closing properly and the fortnight without a real conversation. This sequence gives you one concrete thing to look at each day.
The seven days
Some tasks are yours alone and some involve your partner. These are the seven headings in the PDF:
- Day 1 — Check the heating
- Day 2 — The doors you open without thinking
- Day 3 — Steady before you speak
- Day 4 — Walk the rooms together
- Day 5 — The conversation you keep walking past
- Day 6 — Repair while the crack is small
- Day 7 — The plan for the next ninety days
What goes unsaid does not leave the house. It moves into the walls.
A taste of the first day
You start by rating four things: sleep, stress, physical energy and emotional capacity. Write the numbers down. If they are low across the board, that is the day’s finding — top up before taking on the big conversation.
Later days move from noticing your usual reaction to steadying yourself, checking in together, saying the difficult thing and making a repair.
